Event has already happened.
This ride starts at War Memorial Park and goes to Fox Island, Gig Harbor and Pt. Defiance (see link below for GPS map). A mandatory safety briefing will be conducted at 0845. We will depart promptly after the briefing. No cue sheet will be provided. This ride is scenic and very hilly.
If the ride is canceled it will be noted in the comment section two hours prior to the start and the Ride Leader will not be at the start.
Make sure you bring bike fenders, adequate hydration, nutrition and funds in case we stop for coffee. Have tools and tube to fix a flat. Have the gps course downloaded if you do not know the route and a bail out plan in the event you cannot finish the ride
Stops: There will be a bathroom/water/picture stop at the Fox Island Fishing Pier. One more bathroom stop at Pt. Defiance Zoo.

Front light and blinking backlight are required (there is one tunnel where it is dark enough to warrant a light).
From the start to Fox Island we roll at 18 mph on the flats until warmed up. Budget 4.5 hours for the entire ride.
What to Know Before You Go

- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
