FRIDAY RIDERS: Gas Works Park to Alki
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
This is a mostly flat scenic ride along the Seattle waterfront from Gas Works Park to Alki Beach in West Seattle. Our route will take us along the ship canal, Myrtle Edwards Trail, and Alki Trail, with some riding in traffic through the Elliott Bay waterfront area. We'll stop to enjoy the Olympic outdoor sculpture garden, if riders are interested, and have a coffee break midway through the ride at Alki beach.
There is a restroom and water at at the start at Gas Works Park and several other opportunities along the route. Please arrive by 9:45 am for the safety briefing so that we can get going promptly. Bring what you need to handle flats, and have a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails. If ride cancels due to weather, leader will post in the comments section on the Cascade post two hours before ride and not come to the start.
