EARTHDREAM Summer Training Series #5
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
EAstside Ride The Hill DREAM rides are focused on helping strong riders get stronger by training on hills or using intervals (or both :). You can ride the hills at your own pace; we will regroup at the top. EARTHDREAM rides emphasize teamwork and cooperative riding in a way that is fun and encourages each rider to develop their cycling skills.
The EARTHDREAM Summer Training Series emphasizes hills that help build strength for late-season rides such as the High Pass Challenge or Passport 2 Pain.
This week's ride features the same number of hills as the Passport 2 Pain - 18 hills, with each one providing 300 - 500 ft of elevation gain. This will be a very challening ride. Some of the hills have very steep grades, making them all the more difficult.
The starting location is at the Woodinville Sports Fields. There are are restrooms andrunning water at the start. We plan on stopping at a Starbucks at 22 miles, and a Safeway 50 miles, and (if necessary) a QFC at 67 miles.
The EARTHDREAM group generally rides at the high-end of the vigorous range. This is a very hilly ride. Riders who struggle to maintain a vigorous pace may find it challenging to stay with the group. We will attempt to accommodate people with a range of abilities, but riders who are significantly off the group pace should come prepared to finish the ride on their own if necessary.
If you click the "Register Now" button on this page it saves you from having to sign in at the start of the ride. Also, it gives me an idea of how many people to expect.
