South Whidbey Island Loop by Tandem

Calling all tandems! The weather is calling us to Whidbey Island and we'd love to have you join us. While we will be riding our tandem, singles are welcome if you enjoy a vigorous pace, but please note that tandems are typically slower on the ascent and faster on the descent.

This is Whidbey so that means hills, but we'll regroup at the top and have flats to cool down on while we enjoy the beautiful countryside that the island offers. We'll catch the ferry by bicycle in Mukilteo and begin and end our ride at the Clinton Ferry dock. We will pass through Greenbank, Freeland, and Langley with a stop in Langley, for a late lunch/early dinner before riding the last six miles or so back to the ferry. Though food will be available along the route, ample ride snacks and fluids are highly recommended as there can be a fair amount of miles between locations. 

IMPORTANT NOTES: We are catching the 10:00 ferry from Mukilteo so please plan accordingly to allow enough time to reach the terminal, find parking, and purchase tickets. It is recommended that you be ready to board no later than 9:30 if you don't want to miss the ferry and so that we can be grouped together for boarding and disembarking. 

***Read the signs where you park, parking around the ferry has a 4 hour time limit. You'll need to find on street parking and ride to the terminal. Mukilteo recommends parking south of 6th Street where parking is not limited.***

Riders should come prepared with the necessary items to make their own repairs to their bicycle.

If you are unable to attend you do not need to "un-register."
