South Lake Washington, Mercer Island Loop

This is a popular, fun and beautiful ride.  We will regroup as needed along the way. This ride is about 36 miles long with 1300 feet of elevation.

The ride will roll promptly at 10:00am from the south side of Renton Memorial Stadium.  Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to ready your bike, sign the waiver and participate in the required SMART safety briefing. There is no restroom at the starting location.  Stops: Restrooms miles 6, 12, 31.
Riders are expected to keep the pace, have the following with them: Water, red blinking tail light, a spare tube, a pump and other tools and know how to change a flat tire. 

Mercer Island residents request that we use lights and wear bright/ white colors for better visibility.

Please remember that it's important to check your tire pressure regularly during the summer (e.g., weekly during the cycling season).

On-line registration closes two hours prior to ride time, and if you decide to ride after that we will have a waiver sheet for you to sign manually.  

If you are a new rider, we are very happy to have you with us.  Please read the New Rider link, above, and keep in mind that a helmet is required on all Cascade rides.  Also, riders should be able to sustain the pace, carry nutrition/water.  Everyone should carry a phone to call for assistance if needed. We will regroup after climbs and at major intersections.

A route map and cue sheet are at the Ride With GPS link, below.  If you want a cue sheet please print and bring it.  The ride leader will not have extra copies.
Steady rain cancels and the ride leader(s) will not be at the start.  If weather is such, a cancellation notice will be made in the comments section below at least 2 hours prior to the start time.

Please pre-sign the waiver online by clicking on the "Register" button above, under the ride title, checking the Waiver Signature box, and saving the registration.  This will save time at the ride start!  Registering requires a Cascade account and you must be signed in to Register.
