Steady Ride in Kent for Bird Watching

Its a great day to get out for a fun ride on a holiday, its going to be warm, there will be a lot of scenery and lots of trails.

We will start at Hogan Park, center of parking lot near restrooms. We will travel many beautiful trails for some bird watching. There will be a short distance on roads and we will use the side walk as necessary. There will be several places to stop and bird watch, as well as a beautiful board walk on the Spring Brook Trail we will dismount our bikes to walk. We will have opportunities to take pictures along the way. It is going to be a beautiful Memorial Day week end, come and ride with me!

IT WILL BE WARM, BRING PLENTY OF WATER AND SOME SNACKS. If you would like to bring a lunch, we can have a brown bag lunch at the end while we watch the Eagles nest across the street from our finish.

Come prepared to fix flats and have a plan for dealing with mechanical issues. It will be the ride leaders descretion to wait for flats/mechanical issues so make sure you know the route or have printed a CUE sheet.

Please arrive 20 minutes before the published start time to ready your bike, check in and participate in the safety and ride briefing. We will go over hand signals and what we say during the ride to keep outselves safe.

Register - Please sign an e-waiver by clicking on the “Register Now” button at the top of this page (right below the ride title) and enter your information. If you do not have an acount, it is free to create an account. If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to unregister.

Weather - Showers or more severe weather will cancel the ride.  Ride cancellation will be announced in the comments section at least two hours before start time and the ride leaders will not be at the start.
