Event has already happened.

We will start out at the I-90 Lid Park on Mercer Island and ride around the south side of the island on our way over the beautiful May Valley Road out to Issaquah.  We'll stop for a break at Issaquah Coffee before heading up Newport Way and our climb up Fisher Hill (164th St) before we ride a long downhill on Lakemont to Coal Creek.  We'll take the bike lane down Coal Creek back to Mercer Island.  After the ride, join us for lunch at The Roanoke on Mercer Island, if you like.  

Ride leader mentoring available.  In the case of weather cancellation, the ride leader will not be at the start and will post any cancellation here two hours before ride start.

What Terrain Means

Terrain indicates the most common or average terrain type of the ride and should be considered relative to the length and overall difficulty of the ride. For example, a long-distance ride with a lot of elevation gain will be overall less challenging than a short ride with equal elevation gain. Consider the pace and frequency of regroup as well to understand how advanced a ride may be.

  • Mostly flat: Trails and/or mostly flat roads with a possible gentle uphill
  • Rolling: Climbs are short and easy, not too numerous
  • Some hills: A few short, steep hills, some moderate upgrades and/or longer gentle climbs
  • Hilly: Consistent or continuous climbing
  • Off-road: Significant unpaved sections
