May Valley - Lake Sammamish Loop

~~NOTE: We will meet at the Mercer Slough Blueberry Farm on Bellevue Way just north of the South Bellevue Park and Ride.

This ride will give you an opportunity to climb almost 1900'. After a short restroom stop at Newcastle Beach Park (mile 2.8), we'll ride south and east through Newcastle to the May Valley Road. We'll then head east to the Renton-Issaquah Road SW and follow it north into Issaquah and our rest stop at Tibbetts Valley Park. We'll leave the park and continue through Issaquah to the East Lake Sammamish Trail. We'll stay on the trail for 0.4 miles after the paved section ends. At 206th Ave SE we will exit the trail and continue on East Lake Sammamish Parkway to Marymoor Park. After our final rest stop at Marymoor, we'll exit the park on the road and continue on West Lake Sammamish Parkway. After passing through two traffic circles, we'll ride underneath I-90 then turn west on SE Newport Way. One last climb and we'll be headed home alongside I-90 before jumping onto the I-90 Mountains to Sound Greenway Trail and a short ride back to the start.

Riders should bring water, a spare tube, tools and the know-how to fix a flat. There will be no food stops on this ride so bring your own food for the ride.

Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time for the required safety briefing so we can roll promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Showers cancel the ride. The ride leaders will not be at the ride start should inclement weather meet the definition for cancellation (showers). Ride cancellation will be announced at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start in the Comments section below and on Meetup.
