Free Group Ride
Monday Century Ride (Arlington)
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
For those who have to work weekends - this is a fun training ride to build endurance and climbing skills. We will stay together and maintain a typical Brisk pace though we may up the speed for short distances on the flats. We will regroup if necessary at tops of hills. Be ready to ride at 6:45. Centennial Trail to Snohomish, then various routes to Logboom Park to meet up with MUMPS and head back to Snohomish County and eventually back to Arlington. Bring adequate water and nutrition for a long ride though we will have a few places to stop to refill. Be prepared for weather changes. Please check your tires and bike condition before leaving home. Bring at least 2 new tubes, tire levers, a patch kit, and a pump or CO2 cartridges.
Elevation will vary with route and will usually be 3000-5000 feet total.
Registration: Your registration on the Cascade Bicycle Club's website is much appreciated. Sign in to your (free) account, then register. We will stop at the Snohomish Bakery about 8:15 to pick up any other riders who want to join for the shorter ride (MUMPS Snohomish). Text me if you are planning on meeting here.
Expectations (important, please read!): Arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the ride to be part of the safety briefing. S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be ambassadors of the bike community in Snohomish County and be safe! Front and rear lights are highly recommended! Riders should be able to maintain the pace. Our goal will be to stay together for the ride, regrouping as necessary on the climbs. Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by having a positive attitude, having fenders when the roads are wet or rain is in the forecast, enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain or other unsafe conditions cancels the ride. If the ride is canceled by 05:00 am, it will be posted in the comment section.
Check for Route updates the day before ride.
