Orting to Wilkeson

Use the Trailside Cyclery address to find the park. You can park in the street or across the road in the park's parking lot.

This ride begins in the town of Orting from the park and heads up to the town of Wilkeson.

Bring your climbing legs and be ready for a great ride.  Your reward is the downhill all the way back to the start.

The pace for this ride is moderate, which is 14-16 MPH on flat roads. Hills are self-paced, and we will regroup at the top of hills for a reasonable amount of time.  I will go over the route, expectations and safety points when I do the SMART briefing before the ride.  So please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before the posted ride start.  We begin pedaling at 5:00 pm sharp. 

Please ensure your bike is in good working order before joining and come prepared with the requisite tools and knowledge to fix flats and minor mechanical issues.

The ride leader will not be at the ride start should inclement weather meet the definition for cancellation (showers, ice/snow, and steady rain). Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments Section below at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start.

Sign the e-waiver just underneath the ride title  You must sign in to see the register button.  Place a checkmark next to the "Waiver Signature" and finally click on the orange "Save Registration" button.  This will save you time at the start.
