Cycling Around Auburn and Black Diamond

Are you looking for a nice after work ride to help you unwind after a long day behind a desk? Or perhaps you’re interested in a late afternoon spin. Or a weekday ride to supplement your long weekend ride. If so, then come out and join me on Thursday afternoon for a moderate paced ride around the Auburn and Black Diamond area.

We will meet at the Auburn Regal Theater parking lot next to the Outlet Collection Mall in Auburn. I will be at the north end of the lot, between Walmart and the Regal Theater. Bathrooms are available in the Walmart store.

The pace for this ride is Moderate, which is 14-16 MPH on flat roads. Hills are self-paced, and we will regroup at the top of hills for a reasonable amount of time. You may download the route or print the cue sheet for yourself from the link below. I will go over the route, expectations and safety points when I do the SMART briefing before the ride. So please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before the posted ride start. We begin pedaling at 5:30 pm sharp.

A note about pace . . . Pace classification indicates the intended range of speeds on level ground without breaks. This means downhill sections of the ride may be faster, and uphill sections slower. For the group's enjoyment as well as your own, choose a ride at the pace and distance that matches your current ability.

Please ensure your bike is in good working order before joining and come prepared with the requisite tools and knowledge to fix flats and minor mechanical issues.

The ride leader will not be at the ride start should inclement weather meet the definition for cancellation (showers, ice/snow, and steady rain). Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments Section below at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start.
