Double NERD

Come join us for a hilly adventure around Alderwood Manor, Juanita and Firdale. We'll ride at a high moderate pace, starting at Lynnwood Transit Center, in the SE corner by the Interurban trail.

The route is a combination of two routes from the NERD series, making it a Double NERD ride. NERD (Northside Evening Rides before Dark) is a midweek series that runs during the warmer months when we have more daylight available in the evening. This combination allows for greater distance on the weekend with a lot of climbing.

We will start by heading north to get us warmed up on a few minor hills, then drop down 80th/Meridian.We'll then loop around Juanita, including Holmes Dr, and come back up 100th Ave NE before heading west and climbing Perkins. After that we'll wriggle through the neighborhood with a few more shorter climbs and back to base.

• Riders must arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time, to listen to the safety briefing and sign the waiver. Riders who miss the safety briefing will not be able to ride with us.
• All riders should carry tools, spare tubes, and have the ability to change a flat. Please dress for the weather, and include fenders on your bike.
• At mile 25.7, there is a rest stop at Log Boom Park with tap water and rest rooms available, but there are no food stops on this ride. Please bring whatever you plan to consume.

NOTE: In addition to showers, rain, ice/snow and any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, it will be posted here in the comment section by 8:00 a.m. and ride leaders will not be waiting at the start.
