Join us for a Vigorous-paced, 62 mile route from Woodland Park to Des Moines, via Alki, and returning via Renton. The weather is forecasted to be more like spring than winter, with temps approaching 60F and lots of sun! Meet in the lower Woodland Park parking lot (adjacent to the soccer fields on Green Lake Way) at 0850 for a pre-ride brief. Rolling at 0900. We'll stop midway in Des Moines for a snack. Our goal is to stay together, and regroup as necessary at the top of the bigger hills. This route includes some urban areas, so we'll be mindful of cars and make sure to ride using the S.M.A.R.T. safety guidelines. Fenders greatly appreciated if the roads are wet. Mentor opportunity available for prospective ride leaders. Thank that groundhog, and get your first (metric) century in for 2016!
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
