Come join us for a hilly adventure around Edmonds, Kenmore and Alderwood Manor.
What is a Double NERD ride? NERD (Northside Evening Rides before Dark) is a midweek series that runs during the warmer months when we have more daylight available in the evening. This route is a combination of two of those evening routes, for an extra fun adventure with a lot of climbing. It's similar in distance and elevation gain to Chilly Hilly, which will be two weeks after this ride (More info).
Riders must arrived 15 minutes before the start time, to listen to the safety briefing and sign the waiver. Riders who miss the safety briefing will not be able to ride with us.
All riders should carry tools, spare tubes, and have the ability to change a flat. Please dress for the weather, and include fenders on your bike.
There is a rest stop at Log Boom park with tap water available, but no food stops on this ride. Please bring whatever you plan to consume.
This is the second mentored ride for RL Candidate: Alex Belskis. Please join us to support a future ride leader.
NOTE: In addition to steady rain, ice/snow and any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, it will be posted here in the comment section by 8:00 a.m. and ride leaders will not be waiting at the start.
NOTE2: Please register for this ride online using the Register button at the top of this page. If your name is on the online waiver registration you will only need to check yourself off at the ride start.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
