Keeping to your 2016 New Year's Resolution to ride more? Join us for a 62 mile, Brisk paced ride from Lynnwood Transit Center to Lake Stevens via Snohomish. Our goal will be to stay together as much as possible, regrouping as needed at the top of the bigger hills. We will ride at an effort level of 17-18 mph on flat terrain, but the ups and downs will make our overall pace slower. One big downhill at mile 11 (Seattle Hill Rd) and one challenging ascent at mile 49 (56th Ave SE, one mile, 7% ave). Short stop for coffee and snacks in Lake Stevens. Steady rain/freezing conditions at the start will cancel the ride. We'll also have a weather bail-out option to turn around at Snohomish and reduce the route by 22 miles. Assemble in the eastern most corner of the transit center parking lot (near the access point for the Interurban Trail) for pre-ride safety brief at 0915. Rolling promptly at 0930. Estimated total time for this ride is 4.5 hours. Please note that we will ride at 15mph on short sections of multi-use path along the way. Ride Leader Mentoring opportunity available.
