Cedar River Trail Winter Ride: Renton to Maple Valley (Moderate)

Join us for a winter ride on the Cedar River Trail (CRT) from Renton to Maple Valley. We will take a quick midpoint coffee break at Starbucks in Maple Valley then enjoy the gradual descent back down to Renton. We'll start and finish at the Old Renton City Hall Parking lot.

Pace: Moderate. All riders are welcome to join, but should be able to sustain a 14-16 mph pace on flats. Please note, small sections of the CRT in Renton are posted with a 10 mph speed limit, we will slow down and adhere to the speed limit in those sections.

Requirements: Helmets are required. Fenders are also required if the roads are wet or there is any chance of rain. Please arrive 20 minutes early in order to sign the liability release and hear the safety briefing. Please ensure your bike is in good working order before joining and come prepared with the requisite tools and knowledge to fix flats and minor mechanical issues. Spare tube, tire irons, pumps or CO2, and allen tools are recommended.

Weather cancellation: Steady rain or icy roadway conditions at the ride start will cancel. Please be sure to check back to this posting or Meetup for weather cancellation, which will occur two hours before the ride start. In the event of a cancellation, ride leaders will not be at the ride start.
