Rainiest Day: Cascade to Seward Park
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
They say Nov 19 is the rainiest day of the year. Sounds like a great excuse for a bike ride! Join us for a fun, scenic and possibly damp jaunt starting at the Cascade Bicycling Center in Magnuson Park, outbound down the Lake Washington lakefront to Seward Park, with a return through the Arboretum. At least one part of the ride is guaranteed to be dry: our coffee/pastry stop!
Arrive by 9:50am in time to hear the safety briefing and ride out at 10:00am.
Bring fenders, appropriate rain gear, and basic tools to fix minor mechanicals and flats. An ORCA card or a way to call for a ride is always an advisable backup.
As a ride-in-the-rain challenge we'll try to avoid a rain cancellation, however high winds, excessive rain, ice or any other extreme weather will cancel the ride. Any advance cancellation will be announced in the comments below by 8:00am.
Use the link below to review the route, load your GPS device, and/or print a cue sheet.
Let's ride! I hope to see you.
