Join me on a ride through my hometown, Olympia, as we tour some of the beautiful trails and enjoy the sights in and around the state capital. We'll head south via the Chehalis Western Trail, head east through Tumwater, climb Tumwater Hill and enjoy a beautiful view of the Capitol building, head out to the westside and visit The Evergreen State College, ride along the shores of beautiful Capitol Lake, enjoy the views along the harbor in downtown Olympia, head over to the famous San Francisco Street Bakery, and finish with a ride out to the Boston Harbor area before returning via the Chehalis Western.
There will be roughly 2000' of elevation with one mile-long climb with pitches up to 9%, along with a shorter steep climb and several rollers. We will regroup at the top of hills as needed. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to hear the SMART talk and have enough time to be ready to ride at 9. Restrooms available less than one mile from the start.
Please print cue sheets and bring all necessary tools & tubes to handle any flats etc. Bring adequate food and water as there may be limited opportunities to purchase along the way. Fenders much appreciated by the riders behind you in wet conditions!
