Tri-County Ramble

Join our annual trek through 3 counties (King, Kitsap, & Pierce).  We'll meet at Lincoln Park in West Seattle before heading down to the Fauntleroy Ferry doc for the 9:15 crossing to Southworth.  From there we make our way south towards Gig Harbor and our first rest stop.  We then head west towards Henderson Bay; south along the coast through Rosedale, past Kopachuk State Park; and then turn east along the Carr Inlet, briefly looping up towards Artondale before crossing the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.  We then turn north, making a quick rest stop at the Safeway on N. Pearl St., before continuing north to Port Defiance where we have the option of riding the Five Mile Loop (time permitting) or immediately taking the ferry to Tahlequah (we'd like to make this crossing no later than 2:40).  We'll head north on Vashon Island, up Wax Orchard Road and the Westside Hwy for the Vashon Ferry back to Fauntleroy (we hope to catch the 4:10).  This route takes us through some terrific scenery.  Needless to say, these are mostly quiet roads with limited services, so it's important for each rider to bring along spare tubes, pumps/Co2, multi-tool, and suffcient snacks.  If we have enough interest and RL's, a vigorous pace may also be offered.
