Join this leisurely, social ride with Cascade Board members from Volunteer Park to the Cascade Cycling Center. We will ride along Interlaken and the Burke Gilman Trail to join the kickoff celebration for the next phase of Cascade's Capital Campaign, raising funds for a Kids' Traffic Garden and Bike Workshop. The Traffic Garden will offer a safe but realistic place for kids to learn the skills they need to ride in the community. This is a Leisurely Pace ride (10-12 mph on the flat), and the route is mostly downhill - but don't worry if you're slow, we won't leave anyone behind. There will be refreshments and fun starting at 10 am at the Cascade Cycling Center. Please arrive at Volunteer Park by 8:45 so we can leave promptly at 9. Rain won't cancel - just be prepared!
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
