Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
This is a social ride with an emphasis on lower-traffic roads and with a few adventurous route diversions to make it more interesting. There are restrooms at the start. We’ll take a short restroom / water break after climbing to Beaver Lake Park (mile 9), then enjoy a long, fast descent to the scenic Snoqualmie Valley. After lunch in Carnation we’ll return via Union Hill and Redmond Ridge. This is a hilly route but we will regroup at the tops of hills if necessary. See the RWGPS route info below. Please print a cue sheet (or load your GPS) in case you get separated and/or can’t keep up with the group. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/7241087 Meet in the parking lot directly to the west of the Whole Foods / Peet’s Coffee parking lot in Redmond. Enter from NE 70th St. adjacent to the East Lake Sammamish Trail. PACE: Riders should be able to maintain a moderate pace, 14-16 mph, on flats with no wind. Climb at your own pace, and we’ll regroup at the top. PREPARE: Please bring equipment to fix a flat, and know how to use it. We will try to wait for mechanicals but may not be able to wait for everything. Make sure you know the way back, either by loading up your favorite GPS device and/or by printing out a cue sheet (see below). ARRIVE: The ride will start at 10:00 a.m. sharp so please arrive at the starting point early enough to prepare, sign the waiver, and go through the S.M.A.R.T. safety briefing.
