Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Saturday Morning Rides in Snohomish County: Come and check out the the beauty of Snohomish County; we will cover pretty much every corner! Routes start at 30 miles in December and increase to just over 60 miles by the end of March. The elevation averages 50ft/mile.
Route: We will finish strong with a true metric century 100 kilometer (62.2 miles)!! The cue sheet is short; it's an out and back to Barlow Pass, therefore the elevation is gained in the first 30 miles. After the turn-around, it's whee-heee down to Granite Falls. We invite you to join use for our post-series dinner at Omega Pizza & Pasta (102 S Granite Ave, Granite Falls). Route and cuesheet: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/6132792
Stats: 62.2 miles, 2958ft elevation
Stops: There is NO food available on this route!!
MP 11.6 Verlot Ranger Station (restrooms only),
MP 31.1 porta-potty at Barlow Pass,
MP 50.6 Verlot Ranger Station (restrooms only).
Ride leaders:
Steady: Larry DeBardi/Michael Cunanan,
Moderate: Jack Nolan/Mark Keithly.
Most likely this route will be self-paced, and the ride leaders will spread themselves throughout the group to help where needed.
Expectations (important, please read!): Arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the waiver and be part of the safety briefing. S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish County and be safe! Front and rear lights are highly recommended! Riders should be able to maintain the posted pace. We regroup occasionally. Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group and bring a charged cellphone if possible. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by having a positive attitude, having fenders when the roads are wet or rain is in the forecast, enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain/snow cancels the ride. If the ride is canceled, it will be posted by 7:00 am in the comment section. In that case the ride leader(s) will not be at the start.
