FRUMPS - Around Chuckanut Mountain

Hopefully, the weather will hold out a little longer for a ride around Chuckanut Mountain. We will start at Bay View State Park (facilities available) and ride north up the eastern side of the mountain where we will do most of our challenging climbing. We can decide when we reach the north end of Chuckanut Drive intersection whether we want to continue north to Fairhaven for lunch or simply turn south on Chuckanut Drive for a very scenic ride back to the Park. I will be riding at a true Moderate pace and taking my time climbing hills; we will regroup at the tops of hills and any other points where we need to collect ourselves. No one will be left behind.

The starting point is 68 miles from Magnuson Park and 1 hour 19 minutes driving time by Google estimates. Car pools are recommended; arrange your own if at all possible. Let me know if your and your bike need a ride OR if you have space available and I will try to play the match maker, but nothing promised on this score.  Parking requires a Washington State Discover Pass or a Day Pass which costs $10.

Call me on the posted number before you leave if there is the slightest question about the ride going ahead. I will not be at the starting point if the weather outlook is unfavorable and I cancel the ride.
