Free Group Ride
Mill Creek Meander
Event has already happened.
Remember taking your bike and exploring the wilder edges of your neighborhood? This ride is in that spirit. We'll take a ride on suburban streets to McCollum Park, then ride through deep woods on the paved North Creek Trail to Mill Creek, where we'll make our way to the wetlands boardwalk of North Creek Park. Then to another woods and another creek as we ride on paved trails through the Mill Creek Nature Preserve. Heading back into Mill Creek, we'll stop at Frost Dessert Lounge for a treat, then take quiet streets and the Interurban Trail back to our starting point.
There is a stretch of gravel pathway on the way into North Creek Park. It's rideable with care, or can be walked. Mill Creek Nature Reserve has some short but steep hills, we will regroup as needed.
DIRECTIONS TO START: From I-5 just north of Lynnwood, take the 164th St. SW exit and turn onto 164th heading east towards Mill Creek. Turn left (north) at the 2nd traffic light after the freeway, at Meadow Road. Turn right at 146th St SW, and the park will be on your right just past 4th Ave. W.
Bonus add-on: If you'd like to add 3 miles to the total for the day and get some good beer, the ride leader will head to Stogies'n'Hops on 164th St. after we get back to the start point at Martha Lake Airport Park. They have about 20 beers on tap and also do growler fills, so come prepared!
