An 'IN CITY' bicycle ride around the Ship Canal waterway, up around the tops of Queen Anne Hill and Magnolia. A lunch stop at the local Greek Restaurant in Magnolia. Return via the Ship Canal Locks, Loyal Heights viewpoint over looking Puget Sound and a downhill coast on 8th Ave. NW to the ship canal and the start.
The climb up Queen Anne Hill will commence at the new skybridge over the railroad tracks in the vicinity of Myrtle Edwards Park. Expect a bit of a climb but it will be moderate and has been done previously by other Friday Riders. The group will wait for all Riders to reach the top together. We will visti the various viewpoints of the city from the top of Queen Anne.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
