33 1/3 Gas Works-Ballard Locks-Shoreline
Event has already happened.
The winter weather looks to be perfect for this 33 1/3 mile north Seattle loop. Start at 0915 at Gas Works park, warm up along the Burke Gilman to the Ballard Locks. Walk across the locks, then ride back along the Lake Washington Ship canal to the Fremont bridge. We'll then tackle the one big hill of this route: up Fremont Ave. Cruise north along the Interurban trail to Shoreline, and down Perkins Way to Log Boom park for a break, then return to Gas Works park via the Burke Gilman Trail. This ride is a third of a century, and a great way to get some easy winter miles under your belt. Bring a spare tube, just in case.
