Training Rides
Flying Wheels offers the STP rider a chance to train on some very challenging courses. This multi-route ride begins and ends in Redmond. Bring the entire family to enjoy scenic routes of 25, 45, 65, and 100 miles. Again this year there will be a "family fun loop." The 70 mile loop is great preparation for two-day STP riders, and the 100 mile loop is excellent preparation for one-day riders. You can also get [back] in shape, prepare, meet new cycling buddies, and more by joining Cascade and participation in the "Cascade Training Series," or choosing from the Rides Committees' over 1,000 free daily rides offered in our Activities Calendar. Members receive a monthly newsletter with a schedule of rides and articles about how to improve your enjoyment of bicycling. Finally, consider biking to work as a great way to train for Group Health STP, while avoiding traffic congestion and improving your mental health!
