Hammer for the Hutch August 9-11, 2013
Driven by the goal to end cancer, Obliteride is an exciting new annual cycling event to raise money to accelerate lifesaving research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. We are creating a first-class cycling experience to help obliterate cancer. Every mile you ride and dollar you raise gets us closer to a cure. Thanks to our sponsors, 100% of every dollar raised will directly benefit cancer research at Fred Hutch.
Obliteride features four scenic courses in Western Washington with various distances and terrains allowing all levels of riders to participate.
* 25-mile route: $100 registration fee + $1,000 minimum fundraising commitment
Enjoy a healthy dose of scenic lake views, flat bike trails, fun descents and 984 feet of climbing.
* 50-mile route: $100 registration fee + $1,250 minimum fundraising commitment
Follows the 25 mile outbound course, then adds in country roads, 2,716 feet of climbing and some of the best lakeshore riding around.
* 100-mile route: $100 registration fee + $1,500 minimum fundraising commitment
A perfect blend of urban and rural riding, this course is one that not even your most knowledgeable riding buddies have found; includes 4,517 feet of climbing.
* 180-mile (2 day) route: $150 registration fee + $1,975 minimum fundraising commitment
A two day adventure that runs through the countryside towards Tacoma where an evening of fun and good sleep is waiting for you at University of Puget Sound. Your return trip brings you back to Seattle along tiny beach hamlets and urban waterfronts. Gorgeous views with 3,238 feet of climbing on Day 1 and 2,155 feet of climbing on Day 2.
