Seattle Bicycle Rental Information Bike shops rent bicycles by the hour, day, week, and sometimes even by month. Typically, you can choose from standard road frames, mountain bikes, and often cross bikes. Ask dealers whether you can apply the rental price towards your purchase. Some shops listed below may no longer rent bikes. We apologize if this is the case. To rent a bike, most shops will require 1) photo ID and 2) cash and/or credit card deposit. If you reserve a rental bike, remember to inquire about the shop's cancellation policy. Also, be sure to return your rental on time; like video stores, shops rely on returned bikes for other rentals - you'll be charged a late fee if you bonk on the way back to the store. Finally, you'll feel really awful if your rental is stolen, and you must pay for the bike; remember to bring a lock or rent one.
