Create a Better Community Through Bicycling!
Welcome to the Cascade Community!
The Cascade Bicycle Club was founded in 1970 by Mike and Rick Quam. The Club has a rich history of bicycle riding, of providing bicycle advocacy and education, and of putting on great bicycle events.
Thirty-four years later we’re still going strong and remain committed to making the Puget Sound region a great place to be a bicylist.
Did you know that the Club’s first Advocacy Committee was formed in 1970? That we first started working on the the Burke-Gilman Trail in 1972? That by 1975 Chilly Hilly was already three years old? To learn more, visit the Club History section of our website.
Today, the Club is doing more than ever before! We’ve got great Education programs for kids and adults, 7 classic Northwest cycling events and a strong, respected community voice. As one of the nation’s largest riding clubs -- 11,000 members strong - we are able to postively impact the viability of bicycling as an accepted and well-used mode of transportation and recreation.
Like most community-based organizations, we couldn’t get by without the generosity and support of people like you. Whether you donate your time, money or just enjoy the ride, we’d like to thank you for your support.
